Ronald S. Matteotti, MD, is a surgical oncologist with Meridian Surgical Associates, affiliated with Jersey Shore University Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Matteotti performs a comprehensive range of procedures pertaining to his field, including laparoscopic appendectomy, dressing and/or debridement of wound, infection, or burn (incl. Negative Pressure Wound Therapy), excision, shaving, or destruction of skin and subcutaneous tissue (incl. Mohs Micrographic Surgery), tissue transfer, gallbladder removal (Cholecystectomy), hemorrhoidectomy, intestinal transplant, Peripheral Artery Bypass Procedures, splenectomy, or splenorrhaphy. Featuring 20 years in practice, he graduated with his MD in 1994 from the University of Basel. He then conducted his surgery residency training at Case Western Reserve University Hospital, advanced minimally invasive surgery fellowship training at Boston Medical Center, and second fellowship training in surgical oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Dr. Matteotti is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery, Gastrointestinal Surgery and Trauma Surgery. He is also an active member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American College of Surgeons.
