Get to know Radiation Oncologist Dr. Gregg Alan Dickerson, who serves the Mississippi area at Alliance Cancer Centers. Dr. Dickerson’s acclaimed career in medicine began in 1984, when he graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Upon earning his Medical Degree, he completed his Radiation Oncology residency with the Bodine Center for Cancer Treatment within Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Dickerson is board certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Gregg Alan Dickerson is an established Radiation Oncologist who continues to provide exceptional care and support to his patients within the Alliance Cancer Centers in Greenville and Clarksdale Mississippi. Featuring over three decades of experience in his field, he has a special expertise in radiation oncology, radiosurgery, and prostate radiosurgery. To stay current with the latest advances in his field, Dr. Dickerson remains a distinguished member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiologists and Oncologists, the American College of Radiology, the American College of Radiation Oncology, the Mississippi Radiological Society, and the Delta Medical Society. He served as a Flight Surgeon in the Medical Corps of the Air National Guard for 11 years, reaching the rank of Major. Radiologists, use imaging to gather information about the structure and function of the human body that may be unavailable without surgery. They rely on penetrating radiation, such as X-rays, CT scans, and PET scans to diagnose diseases. They may also employ ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans.
