Bashir A. Chowdhry, MD, FACS, FRCS, FACC, FICS, is a cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon currently serving patients at Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery of Nevada. Yes, you can live normally with one lung. If you have not destroyed your lungs with smoking or pneumonia, etc. Of course, you will not have reserve anymore. READ MORE
Is nausea normal after heart surgery?
Not really. Initially, it could be an aide-effect of anesthesia. Later pain meds, especially narcotic, can give nausea. Most other meds also has nausea/vomiting as a side effect. READ MORE
