I am boarded in Adult, Child and Adolescent, and addiction psychiaty. I also graduated from the Columbia University Center for Pstchoanalytic Training and Research. I have expertise in psychopharmacology, psychoanalysis in children adolescents and adults. I am also interested in teacching, and I teach residents and fellows at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in psychopharacology, addiction, human development and psychotherapy. I maintain a private practice in Manhattan in addition to my research work at Columbia.

What do you attribute your success to?
No one thing. I was a teacher for the New York City School system before I became a physician. This gave me a background in public service. I did well in medical school and managed to win several awards from the National Institute of Health, award that allowed me to develop my research career. I had excellent mentoring and was able to maintain a private practice to use and develop my clinical skills.
Areas of research
My main research is in depression and in aggression acorss the spectrum of human development.
