Ilana B. Friedman, MD, maintains Manhattan Ophthalmology located in New York, New York. With over a decade of experience practicing ophthalmology, Dr. Friedman specializes in pediatric ophthalmology, double vision, adult muscle, pediatric cataracts, and strabismus surgery. Dr. Friedman has extensive experience with both pediatric intraocular and muscle surgery. She currently holds a dual appointment in ophthalmology and pediatrics as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she also serves as fellowship director of the only accredited pediatric ophthamology fellowship program in the tri-state area. She was selected as the best surgery instructor by the ophthamology residents. Dr. Friedman is also an attending at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. Speaking regionally on her field, Dr. Friedman is a published author of a book chapter on pediatric cataracts and several articles on retinal disorders and Diabetes. Named Surgical Instructor of the Year, Dr. Friedman has been certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology as well.
