  • Can a chiropractic adjustment help me sleep better?

Yes, a chiropractic adjustment can definitely help you sleep better because, when you do get adjusted, your body goes into a parasympathetic state (feed and breed) which is a state the body can heal and relax in. READ MORE

  • Can you see a chiropractor for wrist pain?

Hi yes a chiropractor can definitely help with wrist pain. In our practice we see it all the time because we all use phones, keyboards, and laptops. A common condition that chiropractors help in the wrist is called carpal tunnel when the nerve in the wrist is being pressed on and can create numbness and wrist pain. They can also recommend exercises and things to help prevent it from happening again. Hope the helps! READ MORE

  • What do chiropractors do to treat back pain?

Chiropractors treat back pain but most importantly getting to the root of the back pain. Now we are finding that by the time you have back pain more then likely it’s related to other things not working 100 percent in the body If it’s not accident related or injured. Chiropractors treat the nervous system which is the main system responsible for every function in your body. This is why many chiropractors like myself take a holistic approach to treating the body. In other words you can have back pain from a fall or everyday postural things but you may also have back pain from your stomach or your kidneys not functioning properly. In that case a chiropractor can recommend supplements after reviewing your health history along with adjustments that simply take pressure off of the nerves that have pressure on them ( non-invasive) to allow the nerve to function better letting the brain know the problem is being addressed. In short there are usually bones putting pressure on nerves that create back pain and we adjust the spine in a non-invasive way to remove pressure off the nerve so it can recover and all the tissue and organs that it’s connected to now get full blood flow and the back pain usually goes away. In more traumatic accident cases it’s more involved. READ MORE

  • Can a chiropractor adjust your sinuses?

  • How long after chiropractor can I exercise?

Get to know Chiropractor Dr. Lauren Marcus, who serves patients in New York, New York.

Recognized as a top chiropractor, Dr. Marcus works alongside Dr. Oleg Gozenpud, DC, at Lab of Life Wellness Center. It is a family-based chiropractic clinic in Midtown New York.

Welcoming all ages, the doctor-duo specialize in treating chronic pain, herniated disk, headaches, neck pain, back pain, fibromyalgia, digestive issues, and ADHD with chiropractic adjustments at their source — not just the symptoms themselves. They are passionate about utilizing the tools and techniques available to them to create the best possible environment to unleash the miraculous ability of the body to heal from above down inside out. Their key tools are chiropractic adjustments and exercise, proper nutrition and detoxification, as well as identification and release of emotional blockage, helping patients to stay healthy and live a disease-free life.

In 2011, Drs. Marcus and Gozenpud met and realized they had the same passion and drive for chiropractic and delivering the best healthcare to patients. They set out to create the place for optimum healing. And, in June of 2013, they opened their doors to a flood of individuals looking to take charge of their health and well-being.

“We practice very differently than other chiropractors by educating you and getting to the root cause of your problem so the body can do what it’s designed to do which is to innately heal. We always start with the physical component, which is identified where there is pressure on nerves. Chemically, we do AK (applied kinesiology) or take a functional approach to what your body needs chemically with supplementation and proper eating habits. Lastly, is the emotional component where we use color therapy along with other therapies to clear out emotional blockages” as stated on their website.

Chiropractic is a form of alternative medicine that mainly deals with the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. A chiropractor uses spinal adjustments, manipulation, and other techniques to manage patients’ health concerns, including neck pain, back pain, headaches, vertigo and a long list of other ailments and conditions. They aim to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life by properly aligning the body’s musculoskeletal structure and enabling the body to heal itself naturally, without the use of medication or surgery.
