  • Wisdom teeth removal

An oral and maxillofacial surgeon treats dental and medical problems involving the oral cavity and the maxillofacial area. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is considered a dental specialty, but the type of work required is usually much more complex than what a general dentist does. • What can I eat or avoid eating to reduce plaque?

Plaque is a sticky substance made from leftover food particles, bacteria and saliva that mix in your mouth. If you don't brush properly, right after meals, it begins to form and build up on your teeth. That's why for some patients (base on their particular condition) we recommend a good brushing technique at least 3 or 4 times per day to avoid this plaque formation in between meals, thus avoiding tooth decay and gum disease. • Very swollen and red gums after routine dental cleaning

Thanks for the question. It is impossible to damage teeth and the gums with a scaler, not in the range at which dental scalers vibrate. It is however, very common for ones teeth or even the gums to feel very sensitive after a scaling. This is particularly true if there is a lot of cleaning to be done! Regardless, I would like to see you in person so I can have a better assessment of the problem and give you some tools and advises that may help. You can call us at 3055310063 or 3055962815 for consultation. ;) READ MORE

  • I can't fix my teeth sensitivity. What do I do?

Sensitive teeth can be caused by the following dental issues: Worn tooth enamel from using a hard toothbrush and using a hard grip while brushing aggressively. Tooth erosion due to highly acidic foods and beverages. Tooth decay, worn leaky fillings and broken teeth that expose the dentin of your tooth. A sensitive - teeth toothpaste can be used as the most conservative way to treat the problem, when no evident problems have been seen. However, if the problem persist I'd suggest you set up a consultation with us at our Miami Beach Office: 3055310063 or Sunset: 3055962815 to discuss other solutions base in your condition. READ MORE
