Dr. Jeffrey Riker, MD, is on staff at Memorial Care Medical Group located in Long Beach, California. Dr. Riker has been practicing pulmonary, critical care, and internal medicine at Long Beach Memorial Hospital since 1972. With an extensive career, he has been the Medical Director of Respiratory Care Services for 41 years, served as the Medical Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit for 26 years, and is interested in helping patients with chronic lung disease to function at the best possible level by assisting them to be knowledgeable, active participants in their own care. A pioneer in his field and community, Dr. Riker aided in the development and directed the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program and the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. He has enjoyed and benefited from Long Beach Memorial?s affiliation with the U.C. Irvine School of Medicine. Currently, when not practicing and treating patients, he serves as a Clinical Professor of Medicine and Director of the Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship Program, and has held positions as Chief of the Department of Medicine and Vice Chief of Staff and served for two years as the President of the Long Beach Lung Association. Dr. Riker also acts as the Director of the Adult Pulmonary Fellowship Program on the Long Beach Memorial Campus.
