Get to know Pulmonologist Dr. Amina Saqib, who serves patients in East Brunswick, New Jersey.

Well-versed in the field of pulmonology, Dr. Saqib works with patients at Pulmonary & Intensive Care Specialists of New Jersey. She can also be found on staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick.

The doctor routinely does bronchoscopies including ebus and navigational bronchoscopic biopsies. She has expertise in bedside ultrasonography in critical care in addition to the classic knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring in ICU and ARDS. Her clinical interests further include interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis, COPD, and pulmonary rehabilitation.

A native of Pakistan, Dr. Saqib graduated with her medical degree from the King Edward Medical University in 2006. Upon graduating, she relocated to the United States and received a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Wisconsin. She did her internship and residency at Staten Island University Hospital with the completion of her fellowship in pulmonary critical care through Staten Island University Hospital as well. She also received training in interventional pulmonology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Following her training, the doctor attained board certification in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
