Dr. Loewenstine’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 1983, followed by her Medical Degree from the College of Medicine and Life Sciences in 1987. She completed her residency in family medicine at the Franciscan Medical Center, laying a strong foundation for her future in healthcare. With over 35 years of experience in occupational and preventive medicine, Dr. Loewenstine holds board certification in family medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine and is one of the select few healthcare providers globally to have earned a Certificate of Knowledge in Travel Health.

To maintain her expertise, Dr. Loewenstine engages actively with several professional organizations, including the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the International Society of Travel Medicine. Her commitment to education is evident through her involvement in teaching and training first responders and emergency response teams, as well as mentoring physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses in occupational and travel medicine.

Dr. Loewenstine also dedicates her time to educating the public, authoring a regular column titled “Doc on Duty” in CRACKYL – Firefighter Lifestyle, Health and Fitness Magazine, where she shares her insights on preventive health and the significance of industrial screenings.

Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Loewenstine has received numerous accolades for her contributions to medicine. Early recognition as one of America’s Top Physicians by the Consumer Research Council of America set the stage for her exemplary career. She has been honored as a Lifetime Honored Member in the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Executives & Professionals and recognized in America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals.
