Dr. Simonson graduated with a medical degree from Medical College of Georgia in 2002, giving her over a decades of experience. After obtaining her Medical Degree she completed her internship and residency from Boston University Medical Center. Wanting to further her training she completed her second internship and her fellowship from the University of Pennsylvania Health System. She is certified by the American Board of Radiology. Wanting to stay up to date she remains a professional member of the American College of Radiology, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society- Georgia Chapter. Dr. Simonson currently practices with Cambria Somerset Radiology. She is also affiliated with Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.

Musculoskeletal problems can be the result of various circumstances, ranging from work accidents and sports injuries to genetics and lifestyle choices. Some of these problems include osteoarthritis of the knee, osteoporosis of the bones, and many other joint or muscle issues. To help lead patients toward an effective recovery, the musculoskeletal subspecialty provides imaging and treatment for injuries relating to sport and occupational injuries, hereditary dispositions, tumors and arthritis of the bones and other joints.

Dr. Simonson attributes her professional success to her love and passion for the field, and the support from her husband and family. When she is not working she enjoys Skiing, Running Half Marathons, Painting, and Reading.
