Aparna Chandrasekaran, MD, FOMA maintains the position of Medical Director at the Jersey Medical Weight loss Center/Aparna Medical Associates located in Somerset, New Jersey. Dr. Chandrasekaran has been in the field for over 10 years with specific interest in primary care, women's health, geriatrics, and most importantly Obesity medicine. In her office, Dr. Chandrasekaran has a comprehensive medical weight loss program in addition to her Primary care practice. Aside from her practice, she is affiliated with St Peter's University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson University at New Brunswick; also providing services at nursing homes, sub-acute rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, and dementia units in the Somerset area. A certified internist through the esteemed American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Chandrasekaran is also an active member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians. She also has the honor of being in the Medical Advisory Board at Robert Wood Johnson Fitness and Wellness center, working with other physicians in developing and implementing fitness/nutritional programs.
