Transforming Lives in San Jose Through Surgical Excellence and Community Service

Dr. Lynd, a highly trained dual-specialty surgeon at Melody Lynd, Inc., is making waves not only in the surgical field but also in the San Jose community. As such, she continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in both general and plastic surgery. Patients seeking compassionate care and exceptional surgical outcomes can find solace in her expertise and dedication.

With a medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a general surgery residency at SUNY Brooklyn/Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, and a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Illinois-Chicago/Cook County Hospital, she brings extensive expertise and passion to her practice.

In addition to her work at Melody Lynd, Inc., Dr. Lynd dedicates her time to serving the underserved by volunteering weekly at a free clinic in Downtown San Jose and the O’Connor Wound Center. Her commitment to improving the lives of those in her community is evident in her hands-on approach to healthcare, providing essential services to individuals who may not otherwise have access to quality medical treatment.

On a professional level, she is affiliated with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and Special Ops Medicine, AOA Honor Medical Society, representing her commitment to medical excellence and ethical practice. Her philosophy is clear – she believes in empowering individuals by enhancing their confidence and self-esteem through personalized surgical care. Each patient is treated with the utmost respect and compassion, ensuring that they achieve satisfactory results that improve their quality of life. In addition to her civilian life, Dr. Lynd also served in the Navy Reserves as a CDR Medical Officer and in the Air Force Reserves as LtCol. The highlight of her time in the Reserves was serving as Battalion Surgeon to the USMC on 2/23.

“I am passionate about my work, but my mission extends beyond the operating room,” Dr. Lynd stated. “I strive to empower people’s lives through both surgical excellence and community service. It is incredibly rewarding to see my patients gain confidence and to give back to the community that has given so much to me.”

An authority in her field, Dr. Lynd’s contributions to the community have not gone unnoticed. In 2008, she was honored with the prestigious Woman of the Year award, recognizing her tireless efforts and dedication to uplifting those around her.
