Kathryn Pearson Peyton, MD, is the proud Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Mammosphere Inc. A native of San Francisco, Dr. Pearson graduated with honors from Stanford University and UCSF Medical School. Surrounded by three generations of family with breast cancer, she became a passionate Breast Imaging Radiologist and practiced in San Francisco and Jacksonville for 15 years. In 2012, she founded a non-profit technology company, Mammosphere, which improves breast cancer detection and reduces unnecessary additional imaging by providing electronic accessibility to prior comparison mammograms. Kathryn serves as a Vice-Chair for the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens and Operating Board Member of the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute. She is married to former Mayor John Peyton and has two very active young boys.

    Your question is really for a Therapeutic Radiation Oncologist, which I am not (I am a Diagnostic Radiologist who has specialized in breast cancer diagnosis).   • She has a huge passion to help females fight breast cancer. With 3 generations of women in her family having been afflicted with breast cancer- it is a driving force in her to help women become aware of early detection through correct mammography evaluations by making prior mammograms more accessible.
