Dr. Deshmukh sees patients at his private practice, Periodontal Specialists PC, with offices in St. Louis and Sullivan, Missouri. Alongside his private practice, he has taught at SIU Dental School in Alton as a Clinical Instructor and has given lectures in the U.S. and India, in conjunction with the Indian Dental Association. A native St. Louisan, Dr. Deshmukh attended Parkway West High School and St. Louis University prior to starting dental school at Washington University. He completed his dental studies in 1992 at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dental Medicine. In June of 1994, he completed his periodontal and implant training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Among his professional affiliations, he is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, Indian Medical Council, and the President of the St. Louis Central Dental Study Club. He is also a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the Missouri Dental Association.
