Garima Sharma, MD, FACC, maintains a position within the nationally ranked Johns Hopkins Hospital; a non-profit academic medical center based out of Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Sharma is a highly skilled cardiologist of nearly 5 years; having already attained multiple cardiology certifications through the American Board of Internal Medicine. Highly active and honored in her field, Dr. Sharma was awarded the outstanding Fellow Educator Award during her fellowship at Temple University. Dr. Sharma has served on the American College of Cardiology Fellow in Training Committee ,and currently is serving on the ACC Early Career Professional Committee. A national public speaker on heart disease prevention and treatment in women, she chairs the ACC Mentorship workgroup and is heavily involved in setting up the formal Mentoring Program within the ACC; the purpose of which is to link young professionals with experienced cardiologists for career development. She also serves on the MD ACC Chapter committee and is involved in planning the educational curriculum of the State chapter session at the Heart House since 2012. Clinical Associate with Johns Hopkins as well, Dr. Sharma authors several medical blogs aside from her academic and clinical profession.
