My delayed period
This is a sign that you are not having normal predictable ovulation. There are really no good ways to correct this problem. The best way to get more predictable periods is to use hormonal medications such as birth control pills. When you are ready to attempt pregnancy it may be necessary to use fertility medications to help with your ovulation. READ MORE
Is it safe for me to conceive if I am on antidepressants?
It depends on the type of antidepressant you are taking. Generally these medications are safe to take while you are trying to conceive. Some have to be stopped or changed once you are pregnant. You should discuss this with your doctor to make sure the medication you're taking is safe to take with pregnancy. READ MORE

Complex cyst
No, it does not automatically indicate ovarian cancer. It could possibly be a cyst of endometriosis. If the cyst does not resolve, however, it should be surgically removed in light of your age. READ MORE
Can fibroids cause issues in pregnancy?
It depends on the size and location of the fibroids. Generally, fibroids are the most problematic when they are inside the endometrial cavity, which is where the baby grows during pregnancy. Sometimes the size and the location of the fibroids can cause blockage of the fallopian tubes, which makes pregnancy difficult. I would recommend that you see a fertility doctor to get your best answer to this question. READ MORE
Does an abortion bring down the chances of future pregnancy?
No, not unless there were complications from the procedure itself, such as excessive bleeding, infection, or perforation of the uterus. READ MORE
After aborting through pills do you still need DNC?

My daughter is 14 years old and has PCOD. What should I do?

I have had 2 ectopic pregnancies. I want to concieve again. How can I prevent another one?

Despite of following my ovulation calendar I am not pregnant. Why?
There are other reasons why you may not be getting pregnant: 1. Your partner’s sperm count may be low. 2. Your tubes may be blocked. 3. There may be other hormonal issues causing a lack of pregnancy. I suggest you consult with your gynecologist as to the next step in your process. Sincerely, Andy Toledo, MD READ MORE
What other options do I have to prevent pregnancy?
I think you have two options: 1. The nuvaring vaginal contraceptive, which has fewer side effects than oral contraceptives. 2. An intrauterine device, which is highly effective and has no hormonal side effects. Sincerely, Andy Toledo, MD READ MORE
