Louie Astrera Anquilo, MD, is a compassionate and skilled family medicine practitioner with more than eleven years of uniquely diversified experience in his field.

Dr. Anquilo specializes in comprehensive health care for people of all ages.

In addition to diagnosing and treating illnesses, family practitioners also put focus on preventative care with routine checkups, tests and personalized coaching on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

He presently sees patients at Carolinas HealthCare System Urgent Care – Fort Mill in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Carolinas HealthCare System Urgent Care – Fort Mill is part of the larger Carolinas HealthCare Urgent Care network of urgent care clinics with a total of 28 locations.

Dr. Anquilo joined Carolinas HealthCare System in 2008 and enjoys the patronage of many of his patients and the respect of his peers for his exceptional set of skills, knowledge, and expertise as a family physician and his unwavering commitment to excellence in all facets of his practice. As a family medicine practitioner, Dr. Anquilo has dedicated training and unique experience in providing comprehensive health care for people of all ages.

Urgent care, his current area of focus, is a category of medical service focused on the delivery of ambulatory care in a dedicated medical facility, usually a walk-in clinic, outside of a traditional emergency room.

Complementing the hands-on aspects of his work with Carolinas HealthCare System Urgent Care – Fort Mill, Dr. Aquilo holds appointments at several medical facilities in the area. Prior to his current endeavors, he acted as Medical Director of Wellmore of Tega Cay in Tega Cay, South Carolina, and Medical Director of York County Free Clinic in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Dr. Anquilo possesses immense general knowledge on maintaining health and today, family practitioners provide more care for the underserved and rural populations than any other medical specialty.

Louie Astrera Anquilo, MD, received his Doctorate of Medicine in 1999 at The University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila, The Philippines.

Upon relocating to the United States, he served his family medicine residency at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Pennsylvania, which he completed in 2006, and then obtained his board certification in family medicine with the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Anquilo is very dedicated to his specialty and focuses on remaining at the forefront of the healthcare industry through active professional society memberships with the prestigious American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

As a result of his outstanding performance in the field of family medicine, The International Association of HealthCare Professionals (IAHCP) has selected Louie Astrera Anquilo, MD, to be featured in the premier publication of The Leading Physicians of the World.

Dr. Anquilo is a successful physician and credits his professional achievements to patient care, listening to patients’ needs, solid education, and making a difference in the field. He dedicates his spare time to running, half and full marathons.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Anquilo earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Santo Tomas.
