Wanted to further his education, he attended Addington Hospital in Durban, South Africa, where he completed his postgraduate training. Dr. Ekambaram is board-certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He is a highly-trained and qualified emergency medicine physician who has been practicing for over 2 years and is currently serving patients as a Junior Doctor at Princess Cruises. Princess Cruises is a global cruise and tour company operating a fleet of 18 modern ships. Additionally, he speaks and lectures students on ER medicine. As an emergency medicine physician on a cruise ship, Dr. Ekambaram manages a wide range of emergency and general practice conditions, including acute coronary syndrome, cardiac and respiratory failure, anaphylaxis, trauma, orthopedic injuries, occupational health issues, and more. He does so within modern and well-equipped medical centers that comprise of ICUs, general wards, several treatment and exam rooms, a well-stocked pharmacy, a comprehensive clinical laboratory, and digital radiology.
