Dr. Blettel specializes in cardiovascular risk reduction and his results are extremely successful in preventing heart attack, stroke and angina. As of August 2015 it has been seven years since one of Dr. Blettel's patients has had a major heart attack. He employs advanced lipid testing using the NMR LipoProfile in addition to the standard lipid profile and he tests and treats for the dangerous Lipoprotein a particle.
