Optometrist
840 Main St STE 112 MILLIS Massachusetts, 02054About
I run a modern, full- service eye care practice featuring the latest in eyecare technology. The practice includes a Zeiss Photo 600 Ocular Coherence Tomography and anterior segment/ fundus photography and the Humphrey Zeiss Visual Field Analyzer. The Zeiss ocular coherence tomography camera images the retina and other ocular structures at the cellular level, detecting diseases such as macular degeneraton and glaucoma at the earliest stages. The Humphrey visual field analyzer detects peripheral and central visual problems such as brain tumours, gluacoma, and drug toxicity. Coming in 2016 is the Marco X-fraction system.
Disease such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy tend to progress without symptom in the early stages. These new technologies image a complete cross-section or a 3-dimensional view of the retina using an optical measurement known as low-coherence interferometry. The Zeiss Cirrus Photo 600 takes a detailed picture and scans an infrared light across the retina, producing retinal scan images of microscopic quality to detect sight-threatening diseases at the earliest stages.
I have been practicing traditional optometric care for more than 20 years with a commitment to personalized care. In addition to routine eye exams and fitting contacts lenses and glasses, I am certified in the management and treatment of ocular disease.
