About

I was born and raised in NYC and completed High School in Hicksville, NY.  At the age of 18 my parents decided to travel to the Dominican Republic and open a business.  I continued my education and went on to complete Medical School in the city of San Pedro in the Dominican Republic. Moving to the Caribbean and continuing my education had its challenges but was not going to slow down my drive for success.  In 2006, I made a very difficult decision in my life to leave my family behind and return to NYC shortly after graduation.  Although, it was tough leaving all my relatives in the Caribbean it was more important for me to make a difference in the world.  My goals were and continue to be to inflict positive change and be part of a team that works non-stop to find cures for deadly diseases.

After many years of dedication in New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in research, ophthalmology and cataracts I then realized I couldn’t stop there. I didn’t want to put a limit in areas of expertise and moved onward to pursue other therapeutic areas not just ophthalmology but continued to cardiovascular, oncology, anti-viral and more.

As difficult as that decision in 2006 was to leave my family,  true sacrifice, hard work, and dedication is what has brought me to where I am today. A dedicated healthcare professional with more than 9 years of experience in clinical research and 6 years in medical practice.

What do you attribute your success to?

  • I've had somany peopleinvest in me throughout my career and the main people that come to mind are my parents. I've learned from them drive, passion, motivation, sacrifice and dedication to working on whats important and not quitting after falling flat onmy face. Don't get me wrong, I've had great mentors along the way in my corner to help me and always give me that direction and motivationto do more. They are a daily reminderon whyI cantlose focus

I genuinely believeto always have a goal and makea plan as to how you are going to accomplish it. After that the most important part is"never to lose focus".

"Success in life comes when you simply refuse to give up, with goals so strong that obstacles, failure, and loss only act as motivation." Unknown Author
