Bob T. Souder received his medical degree in 1974 from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He further pursued an internship and residency in internal medicine at City of Memphis Hospital, followed by fellowship training in gastroenterology at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Souder holds dual board certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology with the prestigious American Board of Internal Medicine. He is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Tennessee Society of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Additionally, he has served on the Board of Trustees at Lane College, the Board of Directors of the Carl Perkins Child Abuse Center and the Board of Directors for the West Tennessee council for Boy Scouts. Dr. Souder has even received an award for Medical Director of the Year from Vanderbilt University. His multiple professional memberships, philanthropy initiatives, and honors are a testament to his dedication to the West Tennessee area. Dr. Souder is a highly-trained and qualified gastroenterologist who has been practicing for more than 36 years and is currently serving patients at Digestive Disease Clinic, an affiliate of TransSouth Health Care, in Jackson, Tennessee. His practice serves Jackson and the surrounding rural West Tennessee area by providing comprehensive, cost-effective health care with high quality and accessibility from some of the most recognized medical professionals in the area. Dr. Souder was also one of the co-founding physicians of the West Tennessee Medical Specialty Clinic and founding physician of TransSouth Health Care.
