Get to know Family Practitioner Dr. Weston J. Welker, who treats patients in Huntsville, Alabama. 

Dr. Welker is a family practitioner serving Huntsville and the surrounding communities. He is affiliated with Carewell LLC, a practice offering expert medical evaluation of potential malpractice cases in the fields of Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Wound Care, and Pain Management. 

Dr. Welker earned his medical degree at the University of Alabama. He went on to complete a military residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in 1983. 

Dr. Welker maintains active memberships with the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and the American Association of Medical Review Officers. 

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. As a family practitioner, Dr. Welker focuses on preventative care with routine checkups, tests and personalized coaching on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. 

With over 30 years of experience in multiple medical fields, Dr. Welker has treated thousands of patients. He was the first family physician to use stress tests prior to cardiology evaluation in Huntsville and the first family physician to develop in-office screening for osteoporosis with DEXA testing.
