Can drinking just occasionally affect the liver?
It depends. If there is no underlying liver disease 3-5 drinks a week generally will not hurt the liver in most adults, however, some people may be sensitive to the effects of alcohol. If there is underlying liver disease, especially cirrhosis, any amount of alcohol can hurt the liver and should be avoided. Hope that helps. READ MORE
