Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Bernardo Savariego, who serves patients in North Miami, Florida.

Named one of America’s Top Psychiatrists, Dr. Savariego helps provide a picture of a patient’s physical and mental state. Since 1988, he has been in private practice in North Miami, Florida.

The doctor’s areas of expertise include: bipolar disorder, depressive disorder, personality disorder, schizophrenia, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, sleep disorders, depression, clinical depression, bipolar disorder / manic depressive disorder, insomnia, mental illness, and mood disorders.

Back in 1974, Dr. Savariego graduated with his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Valencia in Spain. Upon relocating to Florida, he performed his internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center and his residency in psychiatry at Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1975 and 1978, respectively. 

As a testament to his success, he is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

Licensed to practice medicine in Georgia and Florida, Dr. Savariego is affiliated with Larkin Community Hospital – South Miami Campus.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
