Get to know Dentist Dr. Peggy K. Ram, who serves patients in Oceanside, California.

Dr. Ram is a wonderful, board-certified dentist who tends to patients’ dental needs at Dr. Peggy North County Dental Surgical Center in Oceanside, California. Her main objective is to continue her professional career as a managing dentist in a progressive, family-oriented office where she can provide the necessary care for her patients as an owner as well.

Since its establishment in 2003, Dr. Peggy North County Dental Surgical Center has been committed to helping the community of San Diego North County with all their dental and oral health care needs. Dr. Ram and her team offer dental solutions such as sedation dentistry, endodontics, restoration surgery, oral surgery, pediatric surgery, and cosmetic surgery. They ensure that they deliver the highest standard of care using top-quality equipment in order to help patients maintain healthy and functional teeth that contribute to overall health and well-being.

Following the completion of her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in Iran in 2005, Dr. Ram relocated to the United States. Wanting to further her dental education, she obtained an additional DDS degree from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2014. There, she gained extensive clinical experience in diagnostic, laboratory, restorative, prosthodontic, periodontic, endodontic, and oral surgery procedures.

Prior to opening her own private practice in Oceanside, she worked at SACHS Dental Clinic in San Bernardino, California (2012-2014), MEND Dental Clinic in Santa Monica, California (2012-2014), Santa Monica Dental Group in Los Angeles, California (2010-2012), private practice in Iran (2005-2010), and at a Naval Force Hospital (2005-2008).

In order to stay up to date in her field, she remains a member of several professional dental organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Diego County Dental Society, and the American Heart Association (current medical CPR provider).

In addition to being certified to provide Botox and dermal fillers, Dr. Ram is board-certified through the American Board of General Dentistry, which is dedicated to advancing the practice of general dentistry by promoting a higher standard of knowledge and excellence through advanced education.

From 2013 until 2014, she volunteered with Clinic With a Heart, Loma Linda School of Dentistry, providing oral surgery procedures to local community members as part of a free dental day sponsored by LLU. That same year, she volunteered with the Tri-County Dental Society, providing dental treatment and diagnosis in dental events such as Give Kids A Smile.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.

Outside of the office, Dr. Ram enjoys swimming and hiking. Her favorite professional publication is the Journal of the American Dental Association. She is fluent in both English and Persian.
