Get to know Plastic Surgeon Dr. Kenneth A. Marshall, who served patients in Watertown, Massachusetts.

A reputable plastic surgeon retired from practice, Dr. Marshall founded the New England Center For Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery in Watertown, Massachusetts. The practice was devoted to rejuvenating and enhancing natural beauty using state-of-the-art procedures to result in beautiful, natural results that make patients look better and feel more confident about their appearance.

With a career spanning 40 years, he worked in affiliation with Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and served as the Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York in 1964. He then went on to perform his internship in general surgery at Harvard Surgical Service and Boston City Hospital. This was followed by a residency within the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and fellowships at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Shriners Burn Institute, and Cambridge Hospital.

With a commitment to surgical excellence, Dr. Marshall attained board certification through the American Board of Plastic Surgery, whose mission is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

Furthermore, he attained board certification in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Marshall served as a member of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the New England Hand Society.

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. It can be divided into two main categories – reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. A plastic surgeon’s primary responsibility is performing surgical and non-surgical procedures, and they use a variety of reparative and reconstructive techniques to get the job done.

In his retirement, Dr. Marshall enjoys playing squash and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He currently serves on the Board of the Intrepid and conducts public speaking engagements internationally.
