Next, he obtained a staff associate position at the National Institutes of Health – Division of Biologics Standards, where he completed research in allergenic extracts and vaccinations, including pertussis, or whooping cough. Passionate about bringing his experience in research to patients, he returned to pediatric care for two years at Los Angeles County – University of Southern California (USC) Medical Center in Los Angeles. Thereafter, he joined the Department of Allergy and Immunology at USC as a Fellow.
Maintaining his advanced credentials to stay abreast of the latest advances in allergy and asthma medicine, Dr. Geller is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Additionally, the doctor is board-certified in allergy and immunology by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) and in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABAI is to improve the quality of medical care by the development and utilization of professional and educational standards for the initial certification and maintenance of certification of physician specialists in allergy and immunology, while the mission of the ABP is to promote excellence in medical care for children and adolescents.
