Jorge Rivera-Jimenez, MD, obtained his medical degree in 2002 from the University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Upon completing his medical training, Dr. Rivera-Jimenez completed his residency training in 2005 in the field of Pediatrics at the University Pediatric Hospital of the University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine.

Dr. Rivera-Jimenez is member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, and Florida Medical Association. At the beginning of his career, he was also member of the American College of Physicians, American Society for Microbiology, and Sigma XI Scientific Reasearch Society.

Dr. Rivera-Jimenez is a highly accomplished and enthusiastic pediatrician, with over 10 years of successful practice as clinician and professor, with in-depth experience in Emergency Department and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit from 2005 to 2015 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Today, he practices at Excel Pediatrics in the city of Jacksonville, Florida.
