Once there, he performed his internship at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2000, followed by his residency in physical medicine & rehabilitation at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Montefiore Medical Center in 2006. He then completed his fellowship in spinal cord injury medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in 2008.
