Get to know Internist Dr. Bruce M. Gioia, who serves the population of Swainsboro, Georgia. Dr. Gioia is a highly trained and qualified internist with a vast expertise in all facets of his work, especially emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and addiction medicine. Dr. Gioia has been in practice for more than 22 years and is currently serving patients at Emanuel Counseling Services in Swainsboro, Georgia, which he joined in 2010 to assist people with opioid addictions. Furthermore, Dr. Gioia is ER attending physician at Emanuel Medical Center. Dr. Gioia acquired his Doctor of Medicine degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in 1991. He then went to Maryland, where he trained at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Medicine. Dr. Gioia stays at the forefront of internal medicine through maintaining a professional membership with the American College of Physicians. He is licensed to practice medicine in Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, Maine and Montana. Dr. Gioia credits his success to his hard work and dedicates his spare time to scuba diving and combat pistol shooting.
