Dr. Katabay received his Medical Degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and his Pain Management fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston(Harvard). He has been practicing Interventional Pain Management since July of 2002. He is fluent in English, French, Arabic and Oromo and his interests include soccer and traveling.

Dr. Katabay graduated with his Medical degree in 1997 from The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wisconsin. He subsequently completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Minnesota, followed by his pain management fellowship training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a highly trained and qualified interventional pain management specialist with a vast expertise in all facets of his work. Dr. Katabay was honored with a Patients’ Choice Award and Compassionate Doctor Recognition award, as well as being included among the top 10 pain doctors in Ohio. He attributes his success to his willingness to help people. When Dr. Katabay is not working, he dedicates his free time to soccer and traveling. Interventional pain management or interventional pain medicine is a medical subspecialty in which specialist deals with the treatment of pain with invasive interventions such as facet joint injections, nerve blocks (interrupting the flow of pain signals along specific nervous system pathways), neuroaugmentation (including spinal cord stimulation and peripheral nerve stimulation), vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, nucleoplasty, endoscopic discectomy and implantable drug delivery systems.
