William George Manax, MD, FICS, FACG, is a retired gastroenterologist in La Quinta, California. With a career spanning over 50 years, he specialized in abdominal surgery and organ transplantation. Educated at the University of Western Ontario, Dr. Manax completed his internship in London, Ontario, a residency at the Medical College of Georgia, and a fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He is board certified by the American Board of Abdominal Surgery and is a professional member of the American Society of Transplantation, American Association for the Advancement of Science, The American Society of Abdominal Surgeons, European Society for Experimental Surgery, and the The New York Academy of Sciences. In his retirement, he enjoys traveling, writing, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
