Melissa Miskell, DO, is a board-certified OBGYN and has created Focus Total Health in New Braunfels, Austin, San Antonio, and Boerne, Texas, in order to meet the needs of men and women who are going through the aging process. Dr. Miskell graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. While working in the Biochemistry Department at Texas Tech Health Center, Dr. Miskell earned her Master of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. From there, she graduated from the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center. She went on to complete her residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center where she was elected Chief Resident. Dr. Miskell is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and remains a professional member of the Texas Medical Association and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Additionally, Dr. Miskell is a recipient of a Vitals Patientsâ?? Choice Award in 2014 for striving to help her patients find and enjoy good health, regardless of age or current health status. She focuses mainly on treating hormone imbalances, signs of cardiovascular disease, bone loss and declining brain health, and assists with medical weight loss.
