Dr. Charles A. Stein, MD
Pediatrician
100 Saunders St Culpeper Virginia, 22701About
I provide care for the full breadth of general pediatrics from birth to age 21. I see newborns in our local hospital, older children who need hospitalization, and childfren with a wide range of outpatient issues. Complex cases, including those requiring subspecialty or surgical care are referred to appropriate specialists. However, most patients can be treated in the pediatric office by a well-trained and thoughtful general pediatrician.
I care for children with many varied diagnoses, including asthma, allergies, ear infections, pneumonia, urinary infections and reflux, concussions, constipation, and anemia. I also take care children with a wide variety of behavioral and mental health issues, including ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder with or without hyperactivity), autism, depression, and aggressive behavior I work in conjunction with a child psychiatrist when appropriate.
In 33 years of pediatric practice since my residency, I am fortunate to have seen an incredible variety of common problems with unusual presentations as well as those which are truly uncommon.
