Anthony G.A. Pollock, MD, is an established orthopedic trauma surgeon with Advanced Orthopaedic Associates PA at their offices in Northeast and West Wichita, Kansas. Established in 1993, the highly specialized and fellowship trained Orthopedic Specialty Physicians and their staffs provide services covering: Joint Replacement, Foot and Ankle Surgery, Hand and Wrist Surgery, Elbow Surgery, Knee Surgery, Shoulder Surgery, Sports Medicine, Trauma, and Pediatrics. Dr. Pollock has over four decades of diverse experience in his field and special expertise in general orthopedics, joint replacement, and orthopedic trauma. In addition to his work at Advanced Orthopaedic Associates PA, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine - Residency Training Program. Earlier in his career, he was Medical Director of the Orthopedic Trauma Call Program at Wesley Medical Center. Dr. Pollock maintains his hospital privileges at St. Francis Health Center and St. Joseph Hospital- Orthopedic Surgery. He graduated in 1971 from the University of Glasgow in Scotland with his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees. He also holds a medical degree obtained from Glasgow Caledonian University in 1971. He then served his residency training at Falkirk Community Hospital, Stirling Community Hospital, Somerset Hospital, and Royal Victoria Hospital, Edinburgh. Dr. Pollock also underwent fellowship training in trauma surgery through the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is board certified in trauma surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He was honored with multiple awards over the years, including Healthgrades Honor Roll, Teacher of the Year (2000), St. Lukeâ??s Award for Service (2005), and Training Award (1994). Dr. Pollock attributes his success to his hard work, love of the field and dedication to patients. He also enjoys reading The American Journal of Orthopedic Surgery and The Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery.
