If there is no CAD, then you can be treated with medications. If there is a heart valve problem, then you should follow your cardiologist's advice. READ MORE
Will my hip replacement put me at risk for heart disease?
My answer is qualified. If you are young (<40 years), relatively active taking into account hip problem, no chest pain or shortness of breath and have no other risk factors i.e. Diabetes mellitus, hypertension, elevated cholesterol, any history of smoking then your perioperative risk of heart related complications is very low (<5%). Final decision will be by your doctor and surgeon. READ MORE

Elevated resting heart rate usually represents physical deconditioning. It may also be an early sign of nascent heart failure.
