Get to know Pediatric Hematologist and Oncologist, Ajovi Blessing Scott-Emuakpor, who serves the population of Michigan. Dr.Scott-Emuakpor graduated with his Medical Degree in 1976 from the Michigan State University. Following his graduation, he completed his internship, residency and then fellowship at Michigan State University. Dr. Scott-Emuakpor holds an additional Doctor of Philosophy Degree. He is a highly trained and qualified hematologist and oncologist with an extensive expertise in all facets of his work. For his hard work and dedication, Dr. Scott-Emuakpor is a recipient of the Lifetime Excellence in Teaching Award at Michigan State University College of Medicine. He has participated in Missionary Trips to Africa for seven years, and attributes his success to his determination to provide excellent patient care at all times. When he is not assisting his patients, Dr. Scott-Emuakpor enjoys traveling and writing poetry. Dr. Ajovi Blessing Scott-Emuakpor has been in practice for more than 40 years and is currently working within Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He is also affiliated with Marquette General Hospital through the services that Michigan State University provides to the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan. Dr. Scott-Emuakpor is board certified in Hematology and Oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. A pediatric hematologist/oncologist is the one who has specialization in dealing with the blood cancer and other blood diseases. They evaluate, treat/cure and prevent the blood related diseases in children and teens.
