Amrit Guptan, MD, FACC, FHRS, is an established Cardiac Electrophysiologist currently serving as President of the Heart Rhythm Specialists Inc. in Tacoma, Washington. Heart Rhythm Specialists Inc. provides high volume, pre-eminent interventional cardiac EP services with procedures including complex ablations for atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia with cryo and radiofrequency and device implantations including complex biventricular defibrillators involving peripheral and coronary venoplasty. Dr. Guptan is former Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Chi Franciscan Heart and Vascular Associates and Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society and Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He received his bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery degrees in 1997 at Maulana Azad Medical College in India, and then went on to complete the critical care medicine residency program at V. P. Chest & LRS Institute in New Delhi, India. Upon relocating to the United States, Dr. Guptan went to Harvard University to completed his Achievement of Competence in Health Care Systems and then to Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai to train in internal medicine, congestive heart failure, and cardiology. Dr. Guptan also did the cardiac electrophysiology residency and advanced cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at The University of Minnesota.
