Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Nianda M. Reid, who serves patients throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.

A board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Reid is the Co-Founder of Embrace Derm & Aesthetics, with offices in Philadelphia and Spring House, Pennsylvania. She specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology, including the use of injectables and laser dermatology.

Embrace Derm & Aesthetics is a comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatology treatment center offering patient-centered dermatologic care for all ages and skin types. From skin cancer screenings to aesthetic services, they are committed to helping patients meet their skin health goals.

With a broad educational background, Dr. Reid is a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and obtained a dual medical degree / Master of Business Administration degree in Healthcare Management from the University of Rochester Simon School of Business. She completed her residency in dermatology at Brown University, where she served as Chief Resident.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, which is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.

In order to stay up to date in her field, Dr. Reid is an active member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Skin of Color Society, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.

Throughout her career, Dr. Reid has presented at national meetings and authored several publications, one of which was during her time living in Australia. Her extensive background and training has given her a wealth of experience in treating various dermatologic conditions. She has been featured as a skincare expert by magazines such as Women’s Health Magazine, Byrdie, and Cosmopolitan.

A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who manages skin diseases and deals with both internal and external causes and some cosmetic concerns involving the skin. Dermatological duties include taking consultations, providing screening tests, and undertaking non-invasive surgical procedures.

When she is not taking care of patients, she enjoys cooking, running, and traveling with her husband and two children.
