He further specialized in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine after completing a fellowship at OSS Health in York, Pennsylvania.

During his time at OSS Health, Dr. Speert was fellowship trained in cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacral epidurals and neurotomies; sacroiliac joint injections; discograms; kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty; sympathetic ganglion blocks; spinal cord stimulator trials; percutaneous implantations; intercostal nerve blocks; ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve, tendon and joint injections; percutaneous tenotomies; and use of platelet rich plasma.
