Padmaja Murtinty, MPA, PA-C, was born in India and earned bachelor’s degrees in medicine and surgery from SCB Medical College in Cuttack, India. Now a committed Californian, she earned her Master of Physician Assistant from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland. Prior to joining Bass Medical Group, she worked as a PA with Well Path Health Care to provide primary care for people of all ages. Padmaja also has extensive research experience from her time as a Research Associate at UC San Diego, where she created reference values for pulmonary function tests in the community. Prior to becoming a PA, she worked with Glycominds, a biotech research company, where she researched a new blood test for multiple sclerosis. Padmaja uses her ability to speak English, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, and Telugu to support individuals of many backgrounds. She believes in connecting with patients and providing high-quality medical care with compassion. In her free time, she practices daily transcendental meditation and yoga and loves to spend time with her daughters and her puppy.
