Remaining up to date in his field, Dr. Wain is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the Medical Society of the State of New York.

Among his other roles, he can be found on staff at Mercy Medical Center, Mount Sinai South Nassau, and St. Joseph’s Hospital.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. A general surgeon performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries for many forms of intestinal and abdominal wall neoplasms, gallbladder disease, gastric and pancreatic disease.
