Get to know Vascular Surgeon Dr. Sean P. Wengerter, who serves patients throughout the States of New York & New Jersey.

Dr. Wengerter is a highly rated and board-certified vascular surgeon at Rockland Thoracic & Vascular Associates, with offices in Pomona, Goshen, and Fishkill, New York, and in Englewood, New Jersey.

As an experienced vascular surgeon, Dr. Wengerter uses diagnostic tests and surgical procedures to diagnose and treat a wide variety of vascular diseases. His areas of expertise include diagnosing and treating carotid and peripheral artery disease, atherosclerosis, aneurysm, deep vein thrombosis, varicose veins, dialysis access, thoracic outlet syndrome, venous ulcers, and diabetic wounds.

After attending Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, he earned his medical degree from the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark. He continued his surgical training with a residency in vascular surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Holding a license to practice medicine in New York and New Jersey, the doctor is board-certified in vascular surgery and general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.

Maintaining fellowship status, Dr. Wengerter is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and the Society of Vascular Surgery (FSVS).

Holding a license to practice medicine in New York and New Jersey, he can be found on staff at Palisades Vein Center & Medical Spa, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Montefiore Nyack Hospital, Englewood Health, St. Anthony Community Hospital, and Garnet Health Medical Center – Catskills.
