Get to know Dentist Dr. Staci N. Osgood, who serves patients in Oak Grove, Missouri and the surrounding KC Metro area.
Dr. Osgood is a skilled professional in the field of dentistry. She is thrilled to have purchased the practice of Dr. Bettels-Rhodes in order to continue patient care at the office now known as Broadway Smiles Dental, LLC in Oak Grove, Missouri.
Proud of her humble background and how it led her down her path to becoming a dentist, she loves helping her patients and educating them on their oral health. She also enjoys working with her team to deliver comprehensive, professional, quality, and compassionate dental care.
Originally from Olathe, Kansas, Dr. Osgood is a Kansas City girl born and raised. She grew up in the dental office, as her mother was a Dental Assistant for 30+ years before retiring, and her older sister has been a Dental Assistant for 22 years and counting, so one can say that dentistry is in her blood.
Having always had a strong passion for the medical field and learning, she began her medical training in high school, obtaining her CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). From there, she attended college at UMKC, obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry, with minors in Spanish and Healing & Humanities, while also expanding her medical background as a lifeguard and working as an independent living caregiver for young adults with special needs. She became an active member and volunteer of the UMKC Pre-Dental Society and Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity while also shadowing many local dental offices. The more she shadowed and volunteered, the more her passion for dentistry grew! Dr. Osgood attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, and also continued volunteering through Give Kids A Smile.
After graduation, she was an Associate at a group practice in Belton, Missouri for a few years, and was then given the opportunity during the pandemic to practice for a year in rural Nevada, Missouri.
Among her professional dental affiliations, Dr. Osgood is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater Kansas City Dental Society.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
Prior to dental school, Dr. Osgood met her significant other in 2013 and they have enjoyed making a life together and sharing their passion for medicine. She has an 18 year old bonus son, and as well as a 12 year old Shih Tzu, Bella, and a 10 year old French Bulldog, Roscoe, both of which are very active, smart, and ornery. The family enjoy spending time at the lake, traveling, having game nights with family/friends, and are die hard Chiefs fans.
