Dr. Anirudh Patel is a passionate, board-certified dentist at Innovative Dental who is dedicated to providing modern, personalized dental care to patients of every background. Dr. A is committed to using the latest technology dentistry has to offer and to provide his patients with the best family focused dental experience possible.

After growing up in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. A spent his early teenage years in Schaumburg, Illinois. For his undergraduate studies, he moved to Cleveland to attend Case Western Reserve University, where he majored in chemistry, biology, and medical anthropology, which is the study of cultures in relation to medicine. He then moved to Maryland to pursue his passion for dentistry at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he graduated magna cum laude in the top 15 percent of his class. 

Dr. A is a board-certified member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and a graduate of the Academy of Modern Implant Dentistry. He stays up to date with the latest technology and advances in dentistry through ongoing continuing education as a member of Spear Education, Spear Study Clubs, and Phelan Dental Seminars. Dr. A is currently pursuing his general dentistry fellowship and is qualified in all dental specialties including dental surgery, full mouth rehabilitation, orthodontics, cosmetic, and general dentistry. After practicing dentistry for 8 years, Dr. A received the findatopdoctor.com award in 2022. 

From a young age, Dr. A knew that he wanted to help people and that he had a gift for working with his hands and using fine motor skills. During his college years, he discovered that dentistry was the perfect fit for his skills and passions for working with people. As a perfectionist, he has always loved the intricacy and level of fine detail involved in dentistry, and he especially enjoys putting his problem-solving skills to work in improving his patients’ smiles and function. With his degree in medical anthropology, Dr. A sees dentistry as a “people’s business”, and it is the personal aspect of dentistry and the lasting relationships he builds with his patients that keeps him coming back to work with a bright smile and a passionate spirit. Dr. A believes that the little things matter, and his patients appreciate his attention to detail and ability to relate to them while at the same time genuinely hearing what they have to say so that he can provide them with a uniquely personalized dental care experiences. 

After his internship at the VA in Philadelphia in his final year of dental school, Dr. A fell in love with the diverse city of Philadelphia and its people, culture, values, and “Rocky Balboa” fighting spirit. At Innovative Dental, Dr. A is honored to serve the hard-working people of Philadelphia and enjoys learning about his patients’ unique backgrounds and using his knowledge and skills to improve people’s smiles. 

When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. A enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife Priya who is an optometrist who has been practicing for the past 8 years in Lancaster, PA and their two young children Nyra and Niam who are the joy of his life. A Boy Scout for life, he enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, traveling, and working on cars. Dr. A has been a dedicated Sixers fan since the Dr. J and Allen Iverson days and also enjoys Eagles football.
