Dr. Weitzman is a board-certified urgent care medicine physician who serves as concierge doctor and owner of Coastal Concierge Medicine in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Botany from the University of Maryland college Park in 1993, Dr. Weitzman attended the St. Matthew's University School of Medicine and graduated with his medical degree in 2001. He completed postgraduate training in family medicine through the University of Tennessee-Health Science Center College of Medicine (2000 - 2002) and Medicos para la Familia (2002 - 2003). He was also an intern at Morristown Memorial Hospital in 2001 and Visiting Fellow at the American Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (1999 – 2000).
Subsequent to his training, Dr. Weitzman received board certification in urgent care medicine through the American Board of Urgent Care (ABFM). He is further certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support by the American Heart Association. Dr. Witzman additionally holds certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support through the American College of Surgeons, and FMCSA Certification through the US Department of Transportation.
Dr. Weitzman is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) and Aerospace Flight Surgeon, US Civil Surgeon with the US Department of Imigration, FEMA Medical Command Officer, and FFS Provider and Sr. Consultant for the US Department of Veteran Affairs.
