Dr. Taylor earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. He graduated with his medical degree from the American University of Integrative Sciences, Sínt Maarten School of Medicine, (formerly University of Sínt Eustatius School of Medicine.  He completed his internship in Family Medicine at ProMedica Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine – Shreveport.

Subsequently, Dr. Taylor completed a fellowship in addiction medicine via the ABPM-Practice Pathway, and a Master of Arts degree in Psychology at Northcentral University.

Dedicated to clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) and by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

In good standing with a number of professional organizations, Dr. Taylor is a proud member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Medical Association, the American College of Preventive Medicine, the American Association of Emergency Psychiatry, the American Association of Community Psychiatry, and the American Association of Medical Review Officers.
