After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the ​Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Ricketti went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. This was followed by advanced fellowship training in allergy and immunology & sleep medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.

Throughout his training, Dr. Ricketti was involved in multiple clinical trials at the University of South Florida – Division of Allergy and Immunology Clinical Research Unit with basic and clinical research interests including: the pathogenesis and treatment of asthma and allergic diseases, aerobiology, primary and secondary immunodeficiency diseases, HIV, bone marrow transplantation, insect hypersensitivity, allergen immunotherapy, comorbid conditions affecting asthma and upper airway disease, chronic obstructive lung disease, viral respiratory tract infection and asthma, asthma and allergy in the elderly, hereditary angioedema, chronic urticaria and angioedema, atopic eczema, sleep apnea, nasal polyposis, pulmonary interstitial fibrosis, pulmonary artery hypertension, drug allergy, and oral immunotherapy in severe peanut allergic patients. He also wrote book chapters relating to allergic rhinitis and stinging insect hypersensitivity along with various manuscripts relating to novel therapeutics in allergic rhinitis and chronic spontaneous urticaria. 

During this time, he became proficient in rhinolaryngoscopy and drug-induced sedation endoscopy to measure levels of upper airway obstruction that contribute to intolerance and non-adherence with PAP therapy in obstructive sleep apnea populations. Following his education, he remained as a Clinical Faculty Instructor in the Allergy Division. 

With a passion for his field and an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in allergy and immunology through the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI). The ABAI establishes qualifications and examines physicians to become recognized specialists in allergy and immunology. It is a conjoint board of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics.
